New one for me this, iv'e never used a braid as a main line before!! But just bin looking at Ultima power braid (sinking) they do it in 15lb, 20lb or 30lb & spools of ether 250m(£29.99) or 500m(£59.99). Im liking the look of the 20lb, it has a average strain of 20lb & the dia is 0.25mm. Any thoughts on a braided main line Just bin told about one that Fox do, its called Gravitron Pro (sinking) they do it in 20lb in ether 300m spools (£20.99) & 500m at £40.99 & both are weedy green in colour. Sounds good to me. Attachments:

Get on flea bay mate.... Braid is braid!! £22 delivered from hong kong.... 1000m. You do the maths!!!
And you can have any gay colour you like!!!!
I know what I'll be putting on my marker and spod when I get new reels!!
Also I have fished using braid, on my quiver tip setup up, and it is true..... It's fooking hair raising playing a carp on it!!!!!!

Using braid could well be one bit of the jigsaw puzzle to doing well on elsons for me. imo the carp in there are pressured, so getting it all pinned down when a less detectable approach is needed must be a big plus. Virtually no stretch which is good for bite indication. I need to get that front drag/clutch in play alot more tho when playing fish Attachments:

Just be careful you tear all the scales off the carp and cut them with the braid!!! It's sharp under tension!!!

There is nothing in the stanwick rules saying braided line is band, so ill take it up with the big boss man. He may insist i use tubing or something like that which is fine with me. Be cool lads.
