just wondering is landing pike in nets frowned upon? reason i ask is some people are against it, while i think its much more friendly to support the fish in the net when unhooking

Hi pal. I wouldn't want to be landing pike in a net, not with all them sharp teeth  IMO anyway mate. You could end up in a rite mess! |

I've not had any issues with that, and it's safer!! The safest and easiest way to unhook a pike is on a mat with it belly up!! Also you don't wanna be chinning one in the water or you might end up with a treble in your finger in the pike!! That's a proper mess!!!

I still can't get my head round landing pike in nets  6 hooks & pikes teeth all in one net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds 'Danger' to me. |
