As a quick zot off at a tangent from Chris' mini rant about rubbish how many of you look in the bins for clues to what bait is being used or thrown away on a particular venue? I was at Foxearth fishery with a friend the other week and I took a walk round looking in the bins, it was apparent that a lot of mainline cell was being used and also pellets in their various sizes and flavours etc. I also found three inline lead set ups (two not even used) and nearly a whole spool of pva mesh about 15 meters worth. I did the same thing at a well known carp match venue near birmingham and took out of the bins four or five bags of cubed spam the same of prepared expander pellets and about 4 kilos of already mixed groundbait that the match anglers had thrown away the day before, all were still sealed and perfectly useable. I had only taken boilies with me so one of my rods I changed to method feeder and caught fish steadily throughout the day, I only had two carp on the boilies.
What clues do you follow?
