ESP paragons Mk2 rrp £69.99 each. Build quality is very good. Ive not used these rods myself but know a number of lads that do, & they say they love them. The Mk1's (if you can find any) have a full duplon butt. Or you could go for the sonik rod deals, many many sites are doing buy 2 & get 2 free . You get 3 main rods & a margin rod on sks/sk3 & sk4 models. Attachments:

If your not 100% sure about making rigs up for the first time then ether buy ready mades or just use a simple knotless knot (see pic below) Use barbless if complex rules say so Attachments:

Cant believe that people do dangerous rigs like that Dodge! Actually I can, cos last time I fished Mallard a few weeks ago I had a fish out that had a full rig still attatched to it, I didnt get a pic of it as battery had died but I showed it to one of the bailiffs. I was that concerned about it I didnt even weigh it, It took me a good 5/10 mins getting the extra long leadcore and about 50+ yrds of line untangled from it, the lead was a 3oz FIXED!!! I treated the fish with Klin-ik and slipped it back in, just hope it survives as I reckon it was a good 17lb+.
