New member needs advice

Hi everyone
I'm going to get a season ticket to fish Coot, Mallard and Car Park this weekend and looking for any tips or advice.

I haven't fished for quite some time so a little rusty but I'm looking to catch carp (ideally).

Can anyone give any useful suggestions on techniques, baits, rigs, etc so I stand a better chance of catching something other than a cold? Would be very much appreciated.

Also which lake do you recommend the most?

I know mallard is fishing its nutz off at the mo pal. It 'can' be an easy water, depends on the day. When you get there have a word with one of the owners that walk the water, jon,phil or neil will put you rite. There numbers are on the home page.
